School of the Osage
"School of the Osage, a progressive and growing school system, draws its name from the nearby Osage River and the Indians who once lived in the area. The district enrollment of approximately 1900 includes a K-2 elementary school, an upper elementary (3-5), a middle school (6-8) and high school. The schools and students of School of the Osage have received numerous awards in athletic, academic, and music competitions. Bagnell Dam near our original School site was completed in 1931 and is owned and operated by Ameren-MO. Bagnell Dam creates the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks."
School of the Osage is a smaller school district than Camdenton R-III School District but stands out for it's own amazing qualities. For example, they are very goal oriented which is display through their Mission Statement.
Our Mission Statement
School of the Osage, in partnership with our community, educators and families will equip all students to reach their maximum potential for a lifetime of success.
Commitment to Excellence
Raising Excellence, the Osage Way expresses our district's unique design for ensuring that the hopes and dreams of our students are identified, fostered, and grown in such a way that our students can achieve their maximum potential for a lifetime of success. The Board of Education, in conjunction with the administrative team, has identified indicators for student success. For solidarity and accountability, our professional evaluations are linked to each other- from the classroom to the board room. Our strategic plan outlines approaches, identified in the arrows found at the top and the bottom of visual above, which our district is developing and deploying to maximize opportunities for success. As a staff, we hold in common several important values of service to our students, their parents and guardians, and our community.
